TIPS FOR OFF-SEASON BOAT STORAGE FROM SLO SAIL AND CANVAS

TIE OR STRAP COVER DOWN: Use the several sewn webbing loops and cordage (or straps upgrade) to lash cover down under / around your hull. If using cordage, we suggest you tie a “trucker’s hitch” knot to achieve proper tension.

ELEVATE THE BOW: Propping the tongue or trailer jack / wheel up by a few feet will incline the deck of your boat – allowing water to drain off the deck instead of pooling in lower areas of the cover.

TENT THE COVER UP: Use the sewn webbing loops (found on the top of some covers) to hoist (or tent) the cover up to any overhead structure: mast, boom, etc.

PROP THE COVER UP: If you have a smaller boat cover without sewn webbing loops atop – use a beach ball, yoga ball, or custom flexible bows / A-frame to lift cover up from below.
