    Overview:

This jib snorkel is designed to be used with roller furling sails, especially those without a UV cover sewn to them.  These snorkels are designed to be hoisted on the main halyard and zip from the head down.  There is a webbing loop at the top - to attach the halyard to, and one webbing loop at the bottom of the snorkel - to tie the cover down.  These snorkels are available in multiple lengths to accommodate just about any size sail.  We typically recommend purchasing the snorkel a few inches longer than your luff length to ensure complete protection from the sun.

The standard circumference for our 20' to 24' snorkels is 18" which accommodates most rolled sails of this length.  Some 20' to 24' snorkels has a few snaps at the bottom as the zippers are sometimes not long enough to fully close the entire snorkel.  The photo below shows the inside of the jib snorkel with the heavy vinyl reinforcement (at both ends) to help prevent against chafe and the zipper with covering flap on both sides.

These snorkels are made from the same Polyester or acrylic coated Polyester TopGun fabric that we use to make boat covers. Top Gun fabric is waterproof, resists mildew, UV damage, and chafe. (The fabric has a 5-year warranty!) We stock the colors listed above in the drop down menu and we can do any custom color from the color list below for an additional fee, just give us a call!

    Notes:

Look for pre-measured Jib Snorkels for your specific boat in our BY BOAT TYPE page.

This jib snorkel is designed to fit over a battenless jib, or a jib with vertical battens. If your jib has the horizontal jib battens this snorkel may or may not work and you may have difficulty hoisting the jib snorkel over the battens. If you'd like better operation of the furling system and jib snorkel we convert your existing sail to use vertical battens - which will allow for a much tighter and cleaner roll.

    1. Fits snug/good Quality

Product is good quality/heavy duty. Putting it on the 1st time, I thought oh know I ordered it with not a large enough diameter. But after I worked it, it was absolutely perfect. Just snug at the thicker rolled section at the base of the rolled up sail. This included the lines attaching to the sail

I will order from this company again for some of my other sailboats.
