This Top Gun Daysailer boom tent cover is designed after the original boom tent made for the Daysailer. The Daysailer came with this as an option from the factory so that you could camp on your boat, turning your boat into your own tent on the water. ÿThis cover is made from genuine Top Gun fabric, is waterproof, resists mildew, UV damage and chafe and 5 year warranty against color fading and loss of strength in the sun. Our Top Gun DaySailer boom tent cover is equipped with bungee and hooks coming off the edges to hook securely to your rub rail. ÿToday the boom tent style cover is used for a variety of reasons. The boom tent has a tie collar with three snaps that run down the front of the mast as well as a #2 spur grommet to secure the aft section of the cover to the boom. We also use 10 aluminum hooks coated in plastisol to protect the gunwales and secure the boom tent to your boat.
All of the sewing on our Top Gun covers is done in Tenara thread for the ultimate UV resistance. Tenara thread has a 15 year warranty against UV degradation. For those not familiar with Tenara thread it is a Teflon product by the W.L. Gore company the manufacturers of Gore-Tex. By using Top Gun fabric and Tenara thread we are giving these covers a 10 year + life span.
